Honors and Awards

  • In August 2007, Ping An was presented the "2007 Best IR Awards for IPO" co-organized by the Graduate School of Engineering & Management , Nanjing University and China Securities Journal for the excellent performance of its A-share listing. It was ranked the first among all four award-winning enterprises of the category, including China Life, Bank of Communications and Industrial Bank.
  • On 28 July 2007, Ping An was voted as the only insurance brand in the winner list of the "Top Ten Brands Most Favored by Chinese Internet Users 2007" conducted by Internet Society of China in cooperation with 100 online media including Xinhuanet, Sina.com, SOHU.com, NetEase, Baidu, Google, MSN China, Tencent, Yahoo China and Hexun.com.
  • In July 2007, due to its excellent achievements training and examination programs, Ping An was awarded the "Educational Achievement Award 2007 (both Global and Asia-pacific region category)" by LOMA. This is the eighth time Ping An won the awards.
  • In June 2007, Ping An became the first financial and insurance company from the PRC to be granted the "Best of Asia Class in Corporate Governance Asia Recognition Awards 2007" by Corporate Governance Asia, a prominent magazine in the Asia-Pacific region.
  • In June 2007, Ping An Securities Company, a subsidiary of Ping An of China, has four analysts ranked among the "Top Analysts of 2006 for Earnings Estimates and Stockpickers" in Asia by StarMine, a world renowned professional evaluation agency of securities analysts. In Asia Category, Ping An Securities was ranked No.8 among a large number of prestigious research institutions. In Hong Kong and China category, it was ranked No.4 among the Top 10 Most-Award Winning Brokers of 2006, and has 7 analysts led the list of the "Top Analysts of 2006 for Earnings Estimates and Stock-pickers", demonstrating its strength in research.
  • In June 2007, Ping An was once again ranked the first among the "Top 100 Enterprises in Guangdong Province" and the "Top 100 Players in the Service Industry in Guangdong Province" co-organized by Guangdong Enterprises Association and Guangdong Entrepreneurs Association.
  • In May 2007, Ping An Property and Casualty's customer service hotline 95512 was recognized as on of "The Most Satisfactory Call Centers in Service" in the event of "Top 10 Most Favoured Brands in China" co-organized by Chinese Enterprises Reform and Development Research Institute, China Brand Value Research Center and The Confederation of China's Financial Magazines. Besides, its call center was recognized as "China's Best Call Center" in 2005 and 2006.
  • In May, Ping An was ranked No.1 of "The Most Viable Corporations" for the fourth consecutive years, in an event initiated and organized by the All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce with China Business Times, All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce Corporate Development and Research Centre as.
  • In April and May of 2007, Ping An Evergreen Life Annuity Insurance and Ping An Accident and Casualty Insurance products were ranked "the top pick of financial products of the month" respectively, in the monthly surveys conducted by the Finance column of Sina.com.
  • In April 2007, Ping An was named Best Company in China in Corporate Governance by The Asset Magazine in its Corporate Governance Rankings 2007 for its strict adherence to the best international corporate governance practices, implementation of strict internal controls and effective checks and balances to ensure best governance.
  • In April 2007, Ping An was enlisted by the Forbes Global 2000 for its outstanding operating performance and strong earnings growth, ranked the 440th overall, up a significant 97 places from 2006. Ping An ranked the 36th out of the 114 companies listed in the insurance category; the 11th out of the 44 listed in the China-listed company category; and the No.1 out of all of the companies in the non-state-owned enterprise (non-SOE) category.
  • In April 2007, Ping An was selected again as one of "The Most Respected Enterprises In China" by Economics Observer newspaper in conjunction with Beijing University Management Research Center. Ping An was the only insurance company that has been honored for six consecutive year from 2001to 2007 to receive this award.
  • In April 2007, Ping An became the first financial institution to be awarded a 'Second Class Honor in Information System Security' by the China Information Technology Security Certification Centre for its outstanding performance in its Certification Authority system. This is a solid testimony of the high level of security of Ping An's Internet business applications over its peers.
  • In April 2007, Ping An was awarded "the Customer Management Awards 2006" by Greater China CRM, after being awarded the "Best CRM Practice Awards", the "Best Cross-Industry CRM Practice Awards" and the "Best CRM Practice Awards for Greater China" by the same organization between 2003 and 2005.
  • In February 2007, Ping An was named "The Insurance Company with the Greatest Potential in 2006" by Sina.com in its Sina-Aokang Internet Awards 2006 for its nationwide claims, designed hospitals and one-stop-shopping customized service delivered in a featured "3A" model (Anytime, Anywhere, Anyway) via outlets and agent network powered by call centres and the Internet.
